The New Jersey Department of
Environmental Protection (NJDEP) is
pleased to announce that applications
are now being accepted for the 2010
Governor's Environmental Excellence
Awards,
which recognize outstanding
environmental performance, programs
and projects in the state. Nominees
can include individuals, as well as
businesses, institutions, communities
and other organizations that have made
significant contributions to
environmental protection in New
Jersey.
Winners of the 2010 Governor's
Environmental Excellence Awards will
be honored at an awards ceremony in
the fall. Tentative plans call for a
ceremony and reception hosted by the
Governor at Drumthwacket in Princeton,
the Governor’s official residence.
The application deadline is September
16, 2010.

OPRA Seminar
The New Jersey Government Records
Council will host its 4th Annual OPRA
Seminar for the Public on Thursday
August 12, 2010 at the New Jersey State
Museum Auditorium in Trenton, New
Jersey. This year's seminar also
features "A Guide to Records Retention"
presented by Karen Perry, Records
Analyst for the Division of Archives and
Records Management.
This is a FREE seminar and Department of
Community Affairs continuing education
credits for certified local government
officials are available upon request.
